NHSAAA Medicines app (“App”) is intended as a reference source for education about the safe and effective use of medicines. The App is intended for use by healthcare professionals working in NHS Ayrshire and Arran (the “Board”). It includes access to the Adult Therapeutics Handbook (“Handbook”). The Handbook content provides a starting point for the immediate management of many common medical conditions and situations. It is recognised, of course, that the guidance within the Handbook will not be suitable for every situation and is not intended to be a substitute for specialist expertise and clinical judgement.

The content of the App is specific to this Board and it may not be applicable to other local healthcare areas. While the Board endeavours to ensure that the information accessed via the App is correct, the Board does not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material accessed via the App. The Board may make changes to the App at any time without notice. Some of the material accessed via the App may be out of date, and the Board makes no commitment to update such material. The App is provided “as is”, without any conditions, warranties or other terms of any kind. Accordingly, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is made available by the Board on the basis that the Board excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and the use of reasonable care and skill) which, but for this legal notice, might have effect in relation to the App.

User assumes all responsibility for using the information accessed via the App. If the user has health concerns, they should contact a healthcare professional.
