Infection |
Recurrent lower UTI |
Management |
Base antimicrobial choice on the most resistant previous isolates. Patients with recurrent UTI have often had many courses of treatment for UTI and are at particular risk of infection with unusually resistant organisms. For advice on management of recurrent UTI in females outwith pregnancy including assessment for and monitoring of long-term antimicrobial prophylaxis, see here. |
